About us
Past
The Manaresi farm is, above all, a family-centered enterprise. It was established in the 1960s by Eldo Manaresi, a former Italian track-and-field champion. Eldo, who suffered an injury just before the Rome Olympic Games in the 1960s, faced a crucial decision due to life circumstances – whether to continue his athletic journey or embark on a career in agriculture, a field he had studied for several years. Opting for the latter, he chose the path of agriculture to secure a more economically prosperous future for his family. Consistency, hard work, and tenacity propelled him to success, initially in the American multinational company Rohm and Haas,
and subsequently in his own farm. In the late 1990s, Eldo retired and fully dedicated himself to his own business, with the invaluable support of his son and daughters. In the 2000s, collaborating with fellow local farmers, Eldo played a pivotal role in establishing a local tomato factory. His primary focus was on tomato production, and he strived to implement the most innovative harvesting methods possible. In fact, Eldo contributed to the conceptualization and creation of a patent for tomato-picking machines, collaborating with other Italian entities.

Present
Today, the family farm spans across 600 hectares of land, dedicated to cultivating an array of cereals, legumes, and tomatoes. Among the recent expansions, two vineyards have been added to the farm’s repertoire. We have also been running a biogas plant since 2012. One of the primary strengths of our enterprise lies in its strategic location within the Delta del Po’ valley. The Emilia Romagna region, renowned as the heartland of Italy’s finest products, holds a wealth of hidden treasures in all its areas.
The distinctive features of the valley, such as the peat soil and the invigorating sea breeze from the Adriatic Sea, contribute to setting our tomatoes apart from others. These natural elements play a crucial role in shaping the unique composition of our produce. Currently, the farm is under the stewardship of the second generation, supported by the third, overseen by the founder, and propelled forward by a dedicated team of workers.

Future
Our ambition is to emerge as a premier farm specializing in the cultivation and processing of top-tier Italian organic tomatoes. By seamlessly integrating cutting-edge technologies with our profound understanding of the pristine peat soil, we strive to uphold our commitment to preserving nature.
Our dedication extends to enhancing sustainability initiatives and fostering positive impacts on local communities. In essence, our goal is to craft the finest Italian high-quality products that seamlessly weave into the fabric of family routines. Every creation is infused with love, bridging the connection from our family to yours.
