Our recipe

NONNO ELDO’S BAKED BEANS (Italian version)

Ingredients:

1 Fresh pancetta strips, cut into cubes
1 jar Steamed white cannellini beans
1 small bowl with water from cannellini beans jar (set aside)
Half a bottle of Manaresi chopped tomatoes
Salt and pepper (to taste)

Method:

Start with a generous handful of fresh pancetta, cut into cubes, and sauté it in a skillet with a diameter of 25/30 cm.
When the cubes are nicely browned, add a jar of steamed white cannellini beans, but make sure to set aside the bean water. Simmer the cubes together with the beans for about 6/7 minutes.
Next, incorporate half a bottle of Manaresi chopped tomatoes into the mixture. Let it simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
As the consistency thickens, add the bean broth for an additional burst of flavor.
This dish serves 4 people, it is a perfect side dish of your choice.
